End of project blog !

Well this will be my last blog of my 8th grade year :( ! I loved telling everyone about my project and my goals i had set for this yes. I was really excited to tell them that I had accomplished my goal. They also seemed very proud of what I said. I had a survey out on my laptop to let them take the on their studying habits, some people had scored better that what i scored, and some saw that they needed to improve there studying skills. This was a very fun project ! I hope that we could do this project next year to accomplish more goals.

This I believe

The Unexpected
I’m here to tell you about the unexpected, the surprising, and the unforgettable moment. It happened when I was only in the fourth grade in 2010, when I was only 10 years old. This happened while I was almost by Tiger Town from leaving the hospital. My aunt, brother, little cousin, and grandma were involved. There was a car wreck that was about to happen, then all of a sudden BAM! A car hit us pretty hard out of nowhere, this happened unexpected. The van had flipped about three times. I didn’t know what was going on, I thought it was just a dream until I woke up and saw the back window shattered, glass was everywhere, and my lip was bleeding. There were a lot of people that got out of their cars to help us get out of the van, I remember a man picking me up to get me out of the van. The main belief of my memory was starting to believe that people really do have a good heart.  Self-control is one value I believe in because, I was able to control my behavior as I got out the car, and I didn’t panic as much as my brother did. I believe in loyalty, because I had faith in those people that help me and my family. I also believe in cooperation, because those people that helped me and my family cooperate with us to keep us calm, they even told us it was going to be okay. They kept cooperating with us until the ambulance got there. Honesty is another important value that I believe in. I believe in this value because, everybody that was in the car with me had to be honest with the police as they asked questions.  I also had to be honest when they asked me if I was wearing a seat belt, I told them the truth and said “yes.” I really believe that honesty plays an important part in people lives. Today I would want to tell people that before this event I thought that I was just going to get home safe. On that day I actually started to believe that people really do have a good heart because, so many people got out of their cars to help us out, and they didn’t leave until they knew for sure that we was okay.

My Speech

                                                             Diamond Wright
For this year 20% time I decided to work on having better studying habits. I’ve had major goals, and many road blocks. Studying isn’t really that bad once you get use to it. Studying everyday for about 15 minutes can make you remember a lot, but I had to face a lot of challenges when it comes down to studying.  What I did to remember when I needed to study was put it in a calendar or on my homework sheet. My goals were to have all A’s and B’s on every progress report. This was a very important goal I had planned throughout the school year. The biggest accomplishments I had was making a 100 on my test, and bringing a D up to a high C or to a B. I believe that if I never would have did 20% time I wouldn’t know how to study that good or I probably wouldn’t have had any studying goals I would’ve just went home to get into the bed and go to sleep.  At first I didn’t have no clue what 20% time was, and I thought that it would be boring, but doing this project was very fun and helpful. I am proud to say that I did accomplish my goal.

Last project !

Working on my project seems like it's going to be very fun. You can decorate your poster however you want it to look like. I like that you could put every blogger that you published for 20% time. You could also put cool pictures and things that you accomplished this school year for your goal. I hope that a lot of people like my project whenever i accomplish it !

What's exciting about 20% time

So far 20% time is going good. I have published 3 bloggers now, I hope I have a lot of people read my stories about this project. 20% is exciting because you can write about anything you want, read other people stories and they were very interesting and I see that we have a lot of talented and smart  students in the 8th grade. We can also get on 20% time when we're at home or in class on free time you get the whole class period or a good minute to work on your 20% time Fridays. I was doing this for better study habits. Throughout the year I can say that i really did accomplish my goals. My grades got pulled up to a good grade and I'm very proud of how my report card and progress report looked so far. I've worked very hard to bring my grades up to either an A or B. It wasn't easy but i managed to complete my work and try my best on tests and quiz's. Trying is all that matters if you want to accomplish something and not giving up. I would like to thank all my teachers that have helped me on everything I needed help on.

How I helped someone.

You could help people in many ways and people can also help you in many ways. You could help someone without noticing. You might have helped your parents, teachers, brothers, sisters, strangers, ect. I'm going to tell you about a time I helped my teacher and classmates. I helped my teachers & classmates by helping decorate our hallway for a competition during spirit week. I helped make the torches and glue the papers on the wall. When it was time for the judges to walk through they were impressed I could tell by the look on their faces. When it was time to clean up i helped with picking up the trash and getting the glue off the walls. Our team came in first place for the competition. Everyone on our team got to go outside for pizza and to play, we all had a good time. The theme for this is that "Hard work pays off."
